My college wont allow me to put an air conditioner in my dorm room. Currently I have both windows open and two small fans and an oscilating fan operating. I was wondering if I closed my windows and got a mini dehumidifier, the room might cool down a whole bunch.
If a dehumidifier will not work, what are some other ways that I might be able to cool my dorm room down?

I would REALLY appreciate it, and I will even try to help answer some of your questions.

A dehumidifier will actually make your room a little warmer. It works by warming the air around it to create condensation on the coils which will freeze then melt into the water collector. It does take the humidity out of the air though. Try turning your window fans towards the outside (push the warm air out). Take your oscilating fan and prop a large bowl of ice water in front of it so that it blows the air across it and creates cooler air. Walmart sells the bandanas that you soak in ice water and they stay cold for hours, you could wear them around your neck, wrists, ect if the heat gets to you too much (they do work, I used to work in a factory with no airconditioning and we used them all the time).

Are there any mini-split air conditioners that cover more than 4 rooms? I have a total of 6 rooms I want to cover but whenever I look online all I see are units that cover up to 4.

to add the extra zones the duct work would have to be totally different you might want to check out a small split unit system and have the added duct work added in good luck hope this info helps:0)
